Sweet Black Angels recently played at the Freehersal in slough, organised by 2Green Productions and held in Que Pasa. Lizzie Massey is a 14 year old singer/songwriter who plays guitar and is proving to be a talented performer. She has already recorded her first demo album, been interviewed on radio and appeared on live TV. Lizzie has been performing live at venues for the past two years. Feud are an alternative rock band from South-East England, mixing influences from bands such as Foo Fighters, Green Day & Nirvana. They have been featured heavily on the Sunday Session and were our "Artist of the Month" for November. Daily Dose are a 4-piece rock band full of nerds, honest, they say so themselves! They are based in Reading and have recently agreed to provide an instrumental of one of their songs for our weekly gig-guide...nice chaps that they are! Portico Quartet are a London based band playing supermega instrumental music. They are self-proclaimed "Cheery fellows making fat tunes" and if you've listened to the Sunday Session, you'll know they're something a little different. Naked in black are a diverse rock/indie four-piece from Maidenhead UK, formed in 2003 with the aim of creating strong and energetic music, unique enough to stand out in a crowd. The BBC described their gigs as "a live set with enough energy to power a small country.." so you know you're in for a good night. The Big river band bring a "country twang" to the Sunday Session. As their original country music grows in popularity, their move towards traditional country/rock/swing and bluegrass has taken precedence.
